What is Self-Image and what does it have to do with Positive Thinking, Positive Thinking Techniques and Positive Thinking Exercises?!?

Self-Image is a mental picture that is generally quite! Resistant to change! It comes from others investigation of one’s outward appearances such has weight, hair color, height, sex, etc., But also from things that have been learned about one’s self from taking in the judgments of others or personal experiences. 

From everyone being ‘down’ on you about things you become ‘down’ on yourself!

Am I too  thin?, Am I too Fat,? Am I too weak( physically, mentally, emotionally)?, Am I likable?, Am I Good or Bad?, Am I Stupid?

Do All of these questions sound like things that you have asked yourself at one time or the other?

Stop!!!  About 97% of Failure in one’s Personal Life, Social Life and Career is brought on  by Self-Image.

It does not matter what others think about you!  It matters what you think about Yourself when you lay Yourself down on your pillow!

The Getting and Keeping of a Healthy Self-Image can be challenging for any of us, especially when very negative evaluations of a person come from family, peers or the ‘community’  that happen to be inaccurate. It can be Devastating to a person, especially when it starts very early in one’s life! The Aftermath can be  sooo severe for a person that they actually may learn  Self-Hatred and it is also  not good for our Society because what is ingested into someones mind like, “You will never amount to anything!”, “You are just a good-for-nothing!”, etc makes them that way! Keep calling a man a Thief and he will steal.

It is sooo very important that we give PositiveThinking to everyone!, especially our children, because they are very vulnerable to accepting Negative thoughts, ideas and judgments from authority figures like parents, teachers and preachers because they don’t know the differences yet.

Poor Self-Image can be corrected ---- it won’t be easy ---- being manipulated in a Negative way for,sometimes, years can be a hard thing to get out of, But with Help from good friends or even professional Help, it can be realized!

There is a saying from Micheal Dlouhy  --- an incredible person who was raised in a very Negative envirionment ---- “You are perfect, just the way you are”

Believe this! Wake up every morning ---- go to the mirror --- look yourself in the eye and say this! It you need some ‘tweaking’ then GO FOR IT!
